- What types of material can be shredded?
- Paper documents, uniforms, plastic ID badges, videotapes, compact discs, microfilm, microfiche, and other magnetic media
- What types of business need document destruction services?
- Any business that collects or maintains client and employee information such as: law firms, accountants, physicians, dentists, chiropractors, human resource departments, banks, loan agencies, tax preparation companies, insurance companies, government agencies, rental agencies and landlords, auto dealers, employers, and employment agencies.
- Do I need to remove the staples or paper clips?
- No, staples, paper clips, and rubber bands, as well as the file folders, do not need to be removed.
- Do you provide both business and residential service?
- Yes, we can service anyone who has records that need to be shredded. We also offer "Community Shredding Days" throughout the year where a shredding truck is available for residents to have their paper documents shredded at no charge.
- How do I know that my documents have been destroyed?
- A Certificate of Destruction is issued assuring that your material is completely shredded. You are also welcome to witness the shredding process on our video monitors located right on the truck.
- What happens to my shredded documents?
- All shredded paper is recycled to comply with Pennsylvania Act 101.
- Why should I use your service when I have an office shredder?
- We will save your office a minimum of 25% compared to the costs of using an office shredder. There is no shredder cost, labor, maintenance, safety issues, paper dust, mess, noise, disposal bags or disposal fees. There is no need to remove staples, paper clips, rubber bands, or file folders. We also provide your office with free lockable containers to hold your documents that are awaiting destruction. Do you currently store your outdated files in a secure place before you have the time to shred them?
